The summer is coming to a close that none of us want to see. We are so deep in some of the relationships here that we don’t want to leave. The lessons learned and things desired have put us into a spirit of Dad that none can really describe. I wish there were words for the things we are feeling right now. I wish there was a way for me to just explode with dynamic prose that would explain everything that goes through the heart of this team but there isn’t a way for that to happen. So you will have to put up with the ramblings of this man on the other side of the world. Since this summer has begun we have seen 3 new believers born. 3 people who once believed the lies of this world and have come into the light that saves all. In order that I know of is Jondos, Leia, and Saltinat. They all came from a background that taught of another way to salvation, another road, another doorway, another life. The joy that comes from my heart for these can’t be expressed in words alone. My heart jumped as I heard that each one gained their sight. We continue to think for them. That a desire for their fellow countrymen will follow. We also are in thought for those who seem so close but are still examining what it is to be a believer. One is Chingis (Saltinat’s boyfriend) who is currently tearing apart the K-book along with the scriptures and comparing what they say. Another is Makpal who is more afraid of how her parent’s, family, and friends are going to accept her if she follows. Another is Assel who has many questions and desires before she believes. She is hearing story after story of how Dad has changed the life of people on the team and other locals. One more is Yeldos. He has hung out with us and knows we are different. It is hard to say what he is thinking because he doesn’t speak English… almost at all. Please continue to think for us and for these people. I cry thinking that they may enter eternity without saving grace. My heart cries for them and for the breath Dad breathed into them.
Please think for me as I ponder more of what Dad has for me. I know now that I will be overseas. That He is calling me to a life that won’t be easy and sometimes won’t be accepted by those back home. Please beg Dad for answers and comfort for family members. I love you all and I continually think for you.
Mizpah!
